What is implantable contact lens?
It is made up of an extremely soft polymer plastic which is very sophisticated material.It’s a mixture of the protein collagen,which all our bodies are made up of and biomedical plastic.This is important because body does not recognise this as plastic lens implant but as biological tissue.Hence any reaction is not heard.The implants are soft & flexible & can be placed thro incision of 2.4 mm.They expand in the eye & are gently placed into a position behind the iris.
