Does cataract surgery really hurt?
One of the amazing myth is that people believe we actually take out the eye,do the work & put it back.We do not do that .Before surgery we give you a tablet that relaxes you, helps you relieve the anxiety stress.The next thing is that in operation theatre when you lie flat,we put some eye drops in your eye which are very powerful aesthetic drops & numb entire surface of eye including edges of eyelids.We clean the eye place sheet over the face which is like an oxygen tent .The only thing exposed is the one eye we are going to do surgery on.
