What is difference between LASEK & LASIK?
LASEK is where we remove epithelium from the surface of the cornea,perform laser sculpting on the surface of the cornea & then allow epithelium to regrow over time .LASIK is where we create a flap within cornea,using a laser & place the flap down in place because of slow recovery & visual pain. LASEK is preferred in sportsperson with a risk of getting a blow to the cornea, if you have thin cornea or in people who prefer to join deference services. If no issues, then LASIK is the preferred treatment.
