What is difference between LASEK and LASIK?
LASEK is where we remove the skin from the surface of eyelball,perform the laser sculpting on the surface of the cornea ,using a laser & place flap back down in place .Because of slow visual recovery & pain ,we tend not to do LASEK.If you are a sportsperson & at risk of getting a blow to the cornea or you have to join Army,Navy or Airforce or you have a very thin cornea to start with ,then LASEK is definitely an option.If no issue,then LASIK is the preferred treatment.
